Inspired by the patterns, landscapes, and stories that have shaped my artistic practice, this collection brings ancestral design language into a contemporary textile form. Each pattern carries connections to place, family, and the natural world—from the forests and shorelines of Yakutat to the enduring relationships between people, animals, and land.

Preservance reflects the commitment required to preserve cultural knowledge, and the perseverance of generations of Tlingit artists and knowledge keepers who have sustained the Spruce Root art.

These designs are not simply patterns—they hold memories of towering spruce trees, wild strawberry patches, and the presence of bears within the rainforest homeland of the Tlingit people. Through these rugs, traditional patterns continue carrying their stories into your home.
